Dennis J. Czeryba is one of our firm's senior partners. Mr. Czeryba has devoted his practice to the representation of persons who were injured in highway accidents, falls, and other types of injury claims.

Mr. Czeryba is a sustaining member of the Michigan Trial Lawyers Association (MTLA) and has been actively trying to protect injured victims rights for over thirty-two (32) years, including testifying before legislative sub-committees on several occasions, concerning such issues as seatbelt usage and the practical effects of existing or proposed legislation. He is also a member of the Michigan Trial Lawyer's Executive Board and a member of the Michigan Legislative No-Fault Task Force, and the American Trial Lawyers Association.

Mr. Czeryba enjoys golfing, scuba-diving, hunting, fishing, and traveling. He also likes dogs and motorcycles.

William P. GodfroyWilliam P. Godfroy

William P. Godfroy is one of our firm's senior partners. Mr. Godfroy has been a practicing attorney for thirty-one (31) years and a life-long resident of Monroe, Michigan. Mr. Godfroy devotes most of his time to domestic relations and criminal law matters. He also spends a substantial amount of his time on municipal matters, construction claims, probate, and estate planning matters and civil litigation.

Mr. Godfroy has been a board member and officer of numerous community service organizations, including Downtown Development Association, Monroe County Opportunity Program, and Legal Services of Southern Michigan, Inc. He is a member of local, State, and Federal Bar Associations. He has also frequently been appointed as a special prosecutor for the County of Monroe and acted as a private mediator for civil, probate and domestic matters.

Mr. Godfroy spends his time away from the office with his wife and two children. He also enjoys fishing and coaching soccer.

Robert Wetzel
Robert Wetzel Practice Areas:  Personal Injury, No-Fault Automobile Insurance, Corporate Law, Civil Practice and Litigation.

Robert Wetzel is one of our firm's partners. Mr. Wetzel has been involved in Personal Injury cases, Insurance Law, and Civil Litigation since 1991. He is a member of the State Bar of Michigan and the Monroe County Bar Association. Mr. Wetzel is also licensed to practice in the United States District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan and the United States Court of Appeals for the Sixth Circuit. In addition, he is a hearing panelist for the Michigan Attorney Discipline board and a sustaining member of the Association for Justice (MAJ).

Prior to entering the practice of law, Mr. Wetzel worked in higher education at the Community College level, holding positions in Financial Aid, Counseling, Instruction, and Coaching.

Mr. Wetzel spends his time away from the office with his wife and three sons. They are members of St. John Catholic Church in Monroe, where they are active in many school and parish activities. Mr. Wetzel also coaches youth and high school basketball.

Christian HorkeyChristian Horkey
Practice Areas: Civil Litigation, Municipal Issues, Criminal Law, Real Estate and Probate

Christian J. Horkey is one of our firm’s partners. Mr. Horkey is a life long resident of Monroe County. He currently lives in Dundee, Michigan, where his family has farmed for generations. Mr. Horkey devotes most of his time to Civil Litigation, Criminal Law and Real Estate Issues, although he also dedicates significant time to Probate and Municipal matters. Mr. Horkey has been the Whiteford Township Attorney continually since being appointed in 2001.

Mr. Horkey is a member of the State Bar of Michigan and the Monroe County Bar Association (Vice President 2006).  Mr. Horkey is licensed to practice in the United States District Courts of Michigan for both the Eastern and Western Districts.  He currently represents the 38th Circuit in Michigan Bar Association’s, Representative Assembly.  Christian serves on the State Bar Attorney Discipline Board as a hearing panelist.  He is also the current Vice President of the Monroe County Bar Association.

Mr. Horkey spends his time away from the office with his wife, two daughters and son. He also enjoys time spent with several local service organizations on which he holds four board of director positions.
